House Judiciary Committee Reports Constitutional
Amendment to The Floor of The House
By invoking a suspension of rules (in particular, 48 hour deadlines and delays between votes), Speaker Joe Souki engineered a constitutional amendment to ban same-gender marriage out of the House
Judiciary Committee by an 11 to 4 vote. We expect a floor vote this evening.
