Bill Woods (HawaiiGay1) brought the original
court case together. However, Mr. Woods was indicted for embezzling
funds for AIDS services and the three plaintiff couples had to separate
themselves from Bill and set up h.e.r.m.p under the auspices of the Gay
and Lesbian Community Center. To this day, Bill Woods involvement
with any organization in Honolulu is the kiss of death. I won't psychologize
about why he strikes out at the rest of us for trying to win the most difficult
civil rights case in the United States, and his frequent lying about all
of us is extremely painful to deal with. In the case of Friends of
h.e.r.m.p, he has NEVER requested to see our form 990 (he just asserted
on the internet that is was not available). He also asserted that
Friends of h.e.r.m.p paid no legal fees to Dan Foley (in fact, they paid
him $3500). This is vintage Bill Woods. For a relatively sympathetic
