Eleven States File Briefs In Hawaii Against Same-Gender Marriage
Do You Know Where Your Attorney General Is Tonight, On Your Tax Money?
Taking A Break From Fighting Crime?
A Little Bit Afraid That DOMA Won't Work?
Nebraska, Alabama, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Michigan, South Dakota, Mississippi, Missouri, South California

Eleven states filed Friend of the Court briefs with the Hawaii Supreme Court, urging the Hawaii Supreme Court to overturn Judge Chang's Dec. 3 ruling in Baehr v. Miike.  At taxpayers expense, naturally.

I leave it up to you to complain to high heaven in your respective states.  In the meantime, spend some money opposing them.  Your donations are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE, when sent to
                        Marriage Project - Hawaii
                        PO Box 11690
                        Honolulu, HI 96828

Your donations will help pay for the excellent work of Hawaii attorney Dan Foley.  Marriage Project - Hawaii, formerly h.e.r.m.p, is the ONLY organization paying his fees.

Your tax-deductible donations do many things.  Besides fighting for full equality before the law, you also say '**** ***' to the political leadership of your own state AND deprive them of income (being tax-deductible, you end up paying less to the f******* b*******).

As of 1949, all but one of these 11 states had laws banning inter-racial marriage.  [You can learn the exception from a footnote in the Baehr v. Lewin (now Miike) decision of 1993.]

                        Best Regards,

                        Tom Ramsey
                        President, Friends of h.e.r.m.p
Ex-Officio, Steering Committee of Marriage Project - Hawaii

P.S.  Some web sites that have full texts of court decisions and much more (see hawaiilawyer for texts of pending Hawaii legislation).
